JAWS works with your PC to provide access to software applications and the internet by using a speech synthesiser and a sound card. The audio output of the screen information provides easier access to a wide variety of information. JAWS supports all standard Windows applications including Microsoft Office, WordPerfect and Lotus Notes and can be adapted with the built in customisation tools. The interactive talking installation makes it easy to get started without sighted assistance.
- the tone and speed of the voice can be altered to suit personal taste. There are options for you to customise for beginner, intermediate and advanced users so you have full control over what is spoken
- supports Internet Explorer with extra features for navigating web pages: links lists, keystrokes to jump to headings or lists, a find facility and the ability to label graphics
- outputs to refreshable braille displays in computer or grade 2 braille
- FSClipboard allows you to append multiple selections to the standard Windows clipboard. Create custom summaries in Excel, giving you quick access to cells that are most important to you. Document Presentation Mode enables you to view tables exactly as they appear on the screen in HTML and PDF documents, in speech and braille
- multilingual language support: Spanish, American English, Castile Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, French Canadian, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Finnish
- free JAWS Basic Training CD with five hours of audio instructions on navigating the Windows environment with JAWS. Scripting language for customisation of non standard Windows applications
- Please note: There is a £7.50 delivery charge to the UK mainland and £20.00 for Northern Ireland
- JAWS Standard Edition for use with Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows XP Home edition. Please Note: JAWS standard version 10 is not compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT, XP Professional and XP Media Centre (For these operating systems please go to JAWS Professional edition)
- keep your software up to date with a JAWS maintenance agreement. This agreement entitles you to two major software upgrades. This must be purchased at the same time as buying JAWS
