Enabling 'Cookies' for shopping
I have noticed that you don't have 'cookies' enabled within your web browser. This means you may experience problems adding items to your basket. This can be easily solved by enabling 'cookies' within your browser. Please follow the instructions detailed below.

What are cookies and why do I need them?
Cookies are a small pieces of information that a web site stores temporarily on your computer. A cookie's main objective is to identify users and personalise their visit by customising web pages for them for example by welcoming them by name next time they visit the same site. In order to use the RNIB Online Shop, cookies will need to be enabled within your web browser.
What Web Browser am I using, and what version is it?
To find out which Web Browser you are using:
- In your Web Browser, locate the 'Help' menu at the top of the browser
- Click on About... (It may say About Internet Explorer, About Communicator,...)
- On this screen, there will be detailed information about the browser and its version number. Depending on what browser you are using, this information may be in different places on the About screen.
Enabling Cookies in Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x and 6.x
Internet Explorer 4.x
- On the View menu, click Internet Options.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to Cookies and select Always accept cookies.
- Click OK
Internet Explorer 5.x
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Internet in the Web Content Zone.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to Cookies and select both Allow cookies that are stored on your computer and Allow per-session cookies.
- Click OK and then OK again.
Internet Explorer 6.x
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Click Advanced.
- Select Override automatic cookie handling.
- Select Accept under First-party cookies and select Always allow session cookies.
- Click OK and then OK again.
Enabling Cookies in Netscape 4.x, 6.x and 7.x
Netscape 4.x
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Click on Advanced.
- Select Enable all cookies.
- Click OK.
Netscape 6.x
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Double-click Privacy & Security and click Cookies.
- Select Enable all cookies.
- Click OK.
Netscape 7.x
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Double-click Privacy & Security and click Cookies.
- Select Enable all cookies.
- Double-click Advanced and click Scripts & Windows.
- Under Allow webpages to, select Create or change cookies and Read cookies.
- Click OK.
Enabling Cookies in Mozilla 1.x
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Double-click Privacy & Security.
- Click Cookies and select Enable All Cookies.
- Double-click Advanced and click Scripts & Windows (Mozilla 1.1/1.2) or Scripts & Plugins (Mozilla 1.3).
- Under Allow webpages to, select Create or change cookies and Read Cookies.
- Click OK.
Enabling Cookies in Opera 6.x and Opera 7.x
- On the File menu, click Preferences.
- Click Privacy.
- Under the Cookies heading, select Enable Cookies.
- Choose Automatically accept all cookies in the drop down box.
- Click OK.
Now I have cookies enabled, what do I do now?
Once cookies are enabled you may return to the previous page.
