Prices within this Online Shop include VAT, at 15%, except where there are two prices. In this case the lower price excludes VAT and applies to visually impaired individuals, resident in the UK, who are exempt from paying VAT on products that have been solely designed or adapted for their use. This also applies to charities including voluntary organisations that buy for or on behalf of visually impaired individuals.
The VAT rate of 15% was reduced in 2008 by the Government. The rate is due to revert back to 17.5% from the 1 January 2010.

Delivery charges
The prices shown do not include delivery charges. Most of our products and some publications can be sent by freepost under the "Articles for the Blind" scheme. This scheme offers no guarantees of delivery or insurance for valuable items. We do, therefore make delivery charges for some items and large orders which may need to be sent by a special delivery method. We will let you know if such charges need to be applied to any orders you make before we confirm the order with you.
